Reflection Task 2b

I chose a movie which is called 'Shutter Island' for this task. When I watched this movie , I was shocked in the end and I could not understand what the reality was. This movie is about a mad man who is pretending as if he was a detective from the begining of the movie. I can mention about plot briefly. It's 1954, and up-and-coming U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston's Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital. He's been pushing for an assignment on the island for personal reasons, but before long he wonders whether he hasn't been brought there as part of a twisted plot by hospital doctors whose radical treatments range from unethical to illegal to downright sinister. Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open. As a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland, more dangerous criminals "escape" in the confusion, and the puzzling, improbable clues multiply, Teddy begins to doubt everything - his memory, his partner, even his own sanity. And then at the end of the movie we understand that he is a mad person who has been acting like someone else. But I still can not be sure whether he is mad or not. I thought a lot after the movie. It is one of the best movies I've ever watched! I suggest all my friends to watch it. I am sure that you will not regret :)

  1. I also like this movie very much and I agree with your points. It is a movie which everyone should watch and think of. But I really would like to know what made you choose this movie and your personal ideas about why this movie is different from others for you. Also I think plot could be a little bit shorter. Finally I did not understand a sentence either because of grammatical mistakes or because I could not focus on it much. I would like to share the sentence: "Teddy's shrewd investigating skills soon provide a promising lead, but the hospital refuses him access to records he suspects would break the case wide open." Other than that, I really enjoyed reading it.
